Deacon was started in a pleasure program slowly and correctly. He’s a very straight forward ride even just knowing all of the basics. His transitions are smooth, his movements are easy and comfortable to sit, and he retains things you teach him well. This gelding could be a fantastic show horse no matter the direction you’re wanting to go; ranch pleasure, ranch riding, rail, trail, pleasure, hunter under saddle; he’s got the makings and the mind to do it all! If the show pen isn’t your thing, Deacon could easily be brought a long and turned into the best leisurely riding and trail riding partner one could ask for. Yes he has the makings to shine as a performance horse, but most importantly he has the mind to be anything you want. He hauls off property with zero issues and takes everything right in stride. He’s gone through all of the desensitization steps a youngster should and did it all with no troubles and just complete curiosity.
