If you need a horse that has a big heart but need it to be in a smaller package, let me introduce you to G-Man. From being used outside on 50 sections in Arizona to taking a stroll downtown, this little gelding is up for it all and has the type of handle that makes people stop, watch, and compliment him every time. 

 

G-Man is a solid 10yr old, gelding standing 14.2hh tall that has been our go to when stuff needs done and he’s loads of fun in the arena as well. He’s been used extensively in Arizona for all aspects of ranch work from making circles to sorting to dragging, as well as up at sale barns to sort and pen stuff off, and has always been dependable for us no matter what job we’ve called on him to do. He has plenty of foot speed and natural sense to work a gate and thinks he’s twice his size so bullying stuff doesn’t bother him a bit. G-Man is a true “steady eddy” on the trails and outside—sure-footed, confident, and always level-headed whether he’s out alone or with a group. He’s comfortable to ride in all gaits to where you can go all day without getting worn out from being in the saddle. He works off your legs to maneuver around tight spaces or to open and close gates with ease.

 

In the arena, he’s light, responsive, and easy to ride, with great body control. G-Man has a smooth, slow trot and will step right into a lope from a walk. He has a nice turn-around, is wanting to be a big stopper, and is started on flying lead changes. It would not intimidate me at all to go show him in ranch versatility and he would probably do extremely well in all classes. Whether you saddle him up or hop on bareback in just a halter, he rides the same every time—calm, consistent, and a pleasure to ride. And the best part about him is when the adults have had their fill of riding and using him and G-Man is looking for his next venture in life, you will have one of the best horses around to teach your kids how to not only ride but ride correctly on something that is truly broke. 

 

On the ground, G-Man is just as easy. He stands quietly for bathing, saddling, and bridling, has no bad habits, and his gentle and kind personality makes him a favorite to all. He’s UTD on all routine care, including vaccinations, dental, farrier, and deworming. G-Man has always traveled out sound whether barefoot or shod and will have a vet exam on file for viewing.
