Im Skipping For Pesos, or “Hobie” as he is affectionately called, is a 2019 APHA registered gelding that stands 14.3hh. In the arena you can have the same confidence with him just as you do outside as every maneuver for him comes easily. Hobie is naturally low headed with a jog and lope that will get you +1’s across the board and a willing demeanor that will always be noted. His transitions are smooth, his turn arounds are easy, and he is always happy to come to a stop with a simple “whoah”. He is soft in both his body and face and will go as fast or as slow as you ask of him. Hobie has also been used for light ranch work such as gathering and sorting, has been to a handful of sorting competitions, and has all of the right stuff to be successful on both ends in the team roping pen. 

 

Everyday you walk out to catch Hobie, he is happy to see you and ready to please. His kind-eye doesn’t betray him as this gelding truly has the kindest soul and gets an A+ on demeanor everyday of the week. He is extremely gentle to be around no matter what you’re doing with him and absolutely adores little kids. Hobie will happily load up into a trailer every time and is a complete gentleman while backing out to unload. He stalls with no issues and gets along well with others when turned out no matter the herd hierarchy. Hobie is an easy keeper with no vices, quirks, or blemishes and has never required any sort of maintenance. He is UTD on all routine care from teeth to feet.
